Monday, March 4- PNC and LEGEND FINANCIAL

These organizations have generously offered to conduct practice interviews in the RMU Career Center.  TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS GREAT OPPORTUNITY!  Not only will you get honest feedback about YOUR resume and interview skills, you’ll get a chance to impress these premier employers!

Spaces are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first served basis.    NOTE:  You do not need to have an interest in working for these organizations to benefit from doing a practice interview with them.  However, Travelers is currently recruiting for full-time positions and Legend Financial is seeking one or two Marketing interns in their Freshman, Sophomore or Junior years.  These practice interviews can give you the opportunity to meet face-to-face with them, in case you are interested in their opportunities.

WHY DO A PRACTICE (MOCK) INTERVIEW?
-Receive honest feedback about your interview and resume from a qualified professional
-Be more prepared for upcoming interviews
-Network with potential employers (some of these organizations have current positions available, although you don't need to be interested in the organization to do a mock with them.)
-Get a job/ internship (The most qualified candidate does not always get the job or internship!  How you present yourself during the interview is critical.)

Dr. Jones Featured in Deer Valley Newsletter

RMU's own Dr. Jones was featured in an article in Deer Valley YMCA Family Camp's Program Newsletter!

Check out the article below:

DEER VALLEY GOES TO ROBERT MORRIS UNIVERSITY
Cathi Jones is a long time summer camper and a member of the Deer Valley Marketing Committee. She is also a professor at Robert Morris University. During the fall term, Cathi's students were required to work on a semester long project that involved developing a social media plan. Deer Valley was one of the target organizations. A team of six students were tasked with developing a comprehensive social media plan. The students presented their recommendations to Todd Brinkman, Andrew Forman, and a number of Deer Valley board and committee members on December 11, 2012. In commenting on the presentation, Todd Brinkman said, "This was truly a win-win situation. The students received some real world experience and Deer Valley received a number of good ideas to implement. Social Media is increasingly becoming a part of the camp's marketing efforts and we appreciate Cathi involving Deer Valley in her coursework." Mike Walsh, chair of the DV Programming and Marketing Committee was spotted taking copious notes at the presentation and will involve the DV Programming and Marketing Committee meeting on follow up plans based on the Robert Morris University recommendation.
