2nd Annual Somma Integrity First Intersection Navigating the Challenges


Not sure why ethics matters?  Trying to figure out how to handle an ethical problem?  Join us for a networking dinner where SBUS students and faculty will explore ethical dilemmas and develop action based plans for handling these dilemmas. We will also recognize our 2012 Integrity First Scholarship Recipients, announce the 2013 Integrity First Scholarship case at this event and hear remarks from Rande Somma, RMU alumnus, who has over 30 years of experience managing a Fortune 100 company, overseeing 5 technical centers, 250 manufacturing facilities and approximately 75,000 employees located across 26 countries.

Fall Internship Opportunity!

DCI/ At Home Senior Services in Coraopolis is looking for a fall intern!

Intern’s responsibilities for the semester would include but not be limited to the list below.   Interns will be working in the office approx. 10-25 hours a week.  For-credit and also non-credit internships.

Opening for a Marketing/Business/IT interns
 Responsibilities for the Fall 2012: 
  • Maintain and manage the At Home Senior Services Web site.
  • Utilize the Internet for researching specific marketing projects.
  • In house Desktop Publishing of brochures, letterhead, and business cards.
  • Assisting in developing presentations in Power Point.
  • Everyday operations of utilizing the phones, filing, and dealing with the deadlines which are common in business.
  • Create marketing programs, implement them and manage the projects.
  • Work with owners on communicating with referral sources utilizing electronic fax and broadcast e-mail programs.
  • Go out with owners to trade fairs, cold calling, and follow-up phone work.
  • Work normal business hours around your school and other work schedules.
  • Stipend pay schedule.
  • Learn how to Market / Network yourself in the business world.

WhiteSand focuses on special situations, including bankruptcies, spin-offs, debt redemptions, stock buybacks, and divestitures, among other things. They provide unbiased, proactive, and fundamental financial research to their clients via three monthly reports: The Turnaround Report, The Corporate Restructuring Report, and Spin-Off Insight.
