Faculty News

Cathleen Jones, Assistant Professor of Marketing recently had an article published in the Journal of Foodservice Business Research, volume 12, issue 4. The article is entitled:"Taking up space? How customers react to health information and health icons on restaurant menus."

Dean Manna, head of the Marketing Department, was honored with the Distinguished Educator award by the Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Marketing Association.














"Dr. Manna utilizes a pragmatic yet highly motivational and entertaining approach in his classroom instruction and seminars, maintaining a high level of interest while transmitting valuable information with high levels of content. He has published a sales manual on Client Centered Selling for use in the classroom and corporate seminars. His teaching specialty is Professional Selling both at the undergraduate and graduate level. In addition, he has taught marketing and management courses to business executives from the sport-management disciplines in Greece. Dr. Manna’s primary research interest is on Emotional Intelligence and its effects on productivity and morale in the public and private sectors.
Dr. Manna was a past president of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Marketing Association. He holds his undergraduate degree in Business from Gannon University, an MBA from the University of Cincinnati, and a Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh. Yun Chu, an Assistant Professor of Marketing, has been appointed vice president/treasurer of the International Conference on Pacific Rim Management of the Association of Chinese Management Educators (ACME) for 2009-2011. The Association of Chinese Management Educators is one of the most prestigious academic assocations among overseas Chinese scholars.
